At least three militants were killed in exchange of fire with security forces and arms were recovered from their possession here on Saturday. According to details, the security forces on a tip off launched search operation in Sarsir Dara area of Banjout in Swat valley. During the operation security forces signalled three suspects to stop who started firing at the soldiers and tried to flee.

In the retaliatory fire all the three extremists were killed on the spot. The security personnel recovered arms from the possession of the accused killed in the fire exchange. The bodies were shifted to the hospital for medico-legal-requirements.
